Apple in talks with Meta for AI partnership, expanding partnerships with OpenAI, Anthropic, and Perplexity

Apple Inc. has discussed integrating Meta Platforms’ generative AI model into Apple Intelligence. The tech major announced partnerships with OpenAI, Anthropic, and Perplexity for its personal intelligence system. Apple plans to expand partnerships with AI companies globally, including in China. Apple Intelligence will be available in fall with additional features and languages planned.
Apple is in talks with Google and other AI companies for potential tie-ups. At its developers conference, Apple announced new features backed by OpenAI. Apple Intelligence, deeply integrated into iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and macOS Sequoia, will offer access to ChatGPT for users. Apple will offer the free service in U.S. English initially, with plans to expand.
Apple plans to launch Apple Intelligence on iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and compatible iPad and Mac devices. Despite warnings from Elon Musk, Apple clarified it is using its own AI with the option to integrate OpenAI. The tech major aims to provide enhanced AI capabilities with its personal intelligence system.
