Apple, Moderna, Southwest Airlines rise premarket; Tesla falls By Investing.com

U.S. stocks slipped lower on rate-cut worries ahead of important data releases and the Federal Reserve meeting this week. Apple stock rose 0.4% ahead of its annual developer conference, focusing on AI integration. Moderna stock rose 1.5% with positive results for its combo Covid-19 and flu vaccine.

Tesla stock fell 0.2% as Norway’s sovereign wealth fund opposed Elon Musk’s $56 billion pay package. GameStop stock rose 7.7% after a sales miss. Southwest Airlines stock soared 9% on news of activist investor Elliott Investment Management’s stake.

CrowdStrike, KKR, and GoDaddy all rose as they are set to join the S&P 500. DraftKings stock rose 2% after being added to Morgan Stanley’s Top Pick list. Broadcom stock rose 1.4% as Morgan Stanley identified it as a strong AI play.
