Delta premium economy service coming to NYC-LA flights
From NBCUniversal: 2024-06-10 14:56:02
Delta Air Lines will introduce premium economy service on transcontinental flights in September, offering more space and perks for higher-priced tickets. This move comes as airlines like United and JetBlue focus on adding premium seating to attract higher-spending travelers. Delta’s main cabin revenue rose 4% to $5.4 billion, with premium-product revenue up 10% at $4.4 billion. The added service will start on four flights between Los Angeles and New York on Boeing 767s, with plans to expand later this year. Standard economy ticket holders can pay to upgrade, while elite loyalty members may receive complimentary upgrades or list for upgrades to Delta One. Some Delta planes had premium economy seats but weren’t offering the full service; American Airlines operates a similar model on shorter domestic flights.
