Growth, value stocks could see boost from Russell rebalancing

The second half of the year may see a bullish move for both value and growth stocks. VettaFi’s Todd Rosenbluth believes the annual FTSE Russell rebalancing could benefit value stocks, historically overshadowed by growth. The iShares Russell 1000 Growth ETF is up 20% while the Value ETF is up almost 6% this year.
FTSE Russell CEO Fiona Bassett highlights the importance of reflecting market changes through annual reconstitution of the Russell indexes. The indices cater to investors seeking exposure to either value or growth stocks. Microsoft, Apple, and Nvidia are the top holdings in the Russell 1000 Growth ETF, while Berkshire Hathaway, JPMorgan Chase, and Exxon Mobil top the Value ETF.
