The housing market in NYC’s Upper East Side is showing signs of cooling with shrinking price gains and more sellers willing to negotiate. Average home prices are slightly lower than asking price for the first time since the start of the pandemic. Mortgage rates remain high, with home prices up 6.3% from last year and inventory increasing by 35%.
