Mixed day on Wall Street with Dow up, S&P down, and Nasdaq lower

U.S. stocks ended mostly lower on Thursday, S&P 500 and Nasdaq lost ground while Dow closed higher. Dow Jones rose 0.8%, S&P 500 fell 0.3%, Nasdaq declined 0.8%. Tech stocks were worst performers. NVIDIA shares retreated 3.5%, concerns over economy’s health arose. Jobless claims decreased, housing starts fell 5.5% in May.
