Temasek Holdings to invest up to A$300 million in Betashares, expanding offerings

Singapore’s Temasek Holdings plans to invest up to A$300 million in Australian ETF manager Betashares, aiming to expand offerings in Australia and abroad. The investment will give Temasek a minority stake alongside staff and private equity firm TA Associates. Betashares manages over A$38 billion in assets and serves a million investors.
The Australian ETF industry saw a market capitalization of A$177.5 billion in 2023, with A$15 billion in net inflows. Temasek’s investment will support Betashares’ growth both organically and through strategic investments. Temasek, managing assets worth S$382 billion, counts Alibaba, DBS Group, and Tencent among its investments.
