Tesla accused of illegal electrical work in Sweden, tensions with unions high

U.S. electric vehicle manufacturer Tesla is accused of performing electrical installation work without registration in Sweden, sparking reports to the police by the Swedish Electricians’ Union. Tensions between Tesla and unions in Sweden are already high due to prolonged industrial action and strikes by mechanics since Oct. 27. Tesla has not commented yet on the allegations.

The Swedish Electricians’ Union claims there is evidence that Tesla is conducting electrical installation work at a charging station despite not being registered with the National Electrical Safety Board. This violates Swedish legislation, as Tesla is not legally allowed to carry out such installations in the country. The union is taking action against Tesla for these alleged illegal practices.
