CNBC and Statista surveyed 22,000 individuals in 14 economies, evaluating trust, terms, customer service, digital services, and financial advice. Dutch bank ING topped Australia, China’s China Merchants Bank leads mainland, and ICICI Bank is India’s top pick. Maybank in Malaysia, Bank of New Zealand in New Zealand, and Philippine National Bank in the Philippines also emerged as favorites.

SBI Sumishin Net Bank was the top pick in Japan, Maybank in Malaysia, Bank of New Zealand in New Zealand, and Philippine National Bank in the Philippines. DBS clinched the top spot in Singapore, Toss Bank in South Korea, E.Sun Financial in Taiwan, Kasikornbank in Thailand, and Techcombank in Vietnam. Trust proved to be the key factor for customers in the region.
