The Intercept Media Inc. has expanded its lawsuit against OpenAI Inc. and Microsoft Corp. by providing evidence of how the companies removed author information from articles used to train their AI tools.
More than 6,000 URLs from The Intercept were found in one training set, with over 2,000 in another, as per the amended complaint filed on June 21 in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York. OpenAI allegedly used algorithms to strip copyright information from news articles.
