The United Auto Workers President Shawn Fain is under investigation for allegedly retaliating against other union leaders, including Secretary-Treasurer Margaret Mock. The federal monitor opened an investigation into the claims, as well as allegations made by Fain against the leader of the union’s Stellantis department, Rich Boyer. The investigation has faced challenges with document production and interference from the Department of Justice.
Fain, who took office after winning a historic direct election, led the union through a strike against Detroit automakers last fall.
