Viewership across ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, and CBS is averaging 1.3 million per game, triple last season’s average. The league attributes this success to a powerful rookie class, leading to a 236% increase in merchandise sales.

Fans are showing up and tuning in at record levels for Women’s National Basketball Association games, with the league experiencing its most-watched TV season in history. About 400,000 fans attended games in May, the most first-month attendees in 26 years. Viewership is up among people of color and young girls, indicating broader fan engagement.
