The U.S. Federal Reserve aims for 2% annual inflation, but pandemic-led events pushed inflation to 9%, slowly dropping to 3% now. Prices remain 20% higher than pre-pandemic. While some consumer electronics prices fell due to hedonic adjustments, manufacturers may slash TV prices to stay competitive and extract data from consumers.
