Asian markets dipped as investors awaited economic data from the US and China. Japan’s Nikkei 225 fell 0.32% due to declining real wages. Japan’s loans increased by 3.2% in June, and the current account surplus rose to JPY 2,849.9 billion in May. Hong Kong and China markets also declined.

The Hang Seng Index dropped 1.68% and China’s CSI300 fell by 0.85%, hitting its lowest level since February. EU tariffs on Chinese electric vehicles and US trade restrictions on Chinese firms contributed to the decline. Key economic indicators expected this week will shed light on China’s economic outlook.
