Asian shares rose on Wednesday, driven by Tesla jumping 10% and boosting U.S. benchmarks to new highs. Japan’s Nikkei 225 rose 0.9%, Australia’s S&P/ASX 200 gained 0.3%, South Korea’s Kospi edged up 0.1%, and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng added 0.9%. The dollar rose to 161.63 yen, euro was at $1.0747. On Wall Street, the S&P 500, Dow Jones, and Nasdaq hit records. Fed Chair signaled possible interest rate cuts later this year, influencing stock gains. Treasury yields eased. Oil prices slipped as Hurricane Beryl approached the Caribbean. U.S. crude was at $83.16 a barrel, Brent at $86.64.
