Most Asian stocks rose, tracking gains on Wall Street amid expectations for a September rate cut, but Chinese markets lagged. Increased speculation over a second term for Trump boosted stock markets. U.S. stock index futures rose in Asian trade. Chinese stocks fell on Trump fears and weak GDP data, with the EU imposing import tariffs. Australian stocks stalled below record highs as Rio Tinto weighed heavily on the market. Rio Tinto fell 2.3% after second-quarter iron ore shipments missed estimates. BHP Group Ltd also fell 1.7%.
