The Shanghai Composite index was up 0.31% at the midday break. Blue-chip CSI300 index was down 0.19%, with mixed performances in different sectors. H-shares listed in Hong Kong rose 0.12%, while other indices in China were slightly weaker. In the broader Asian market, MSCI’s Asia ex-Japan stock index was slightly higher, while Japan’s Nikkei index edged up.
