Musk took a dig at Altman for driving one of the world’s most expensive cars, a Koenigsegg Regera. Altman’s ownership of such a luxurious car raised questions about OpenAI’s transition from a non-profit to a for-profit business. This public dispute reflects the strained relationship between Musk and Altman, who first met in Silicon Valley and co-founded OpenAI in 2015. Musk eventually left OpenAI’s board in 2018 due to disagreements with its direction.
