FILLiquid, a decentralized Filecoin-based lending platform, has officially launched its mainnet after completing its Token Generation Event. The platform’s liquidity pool allows $FIL holders to earn interest and Storage Providers to secure loans. Over 20,000 wallets participated in the testnet, and the community is rapidly growing on Twitter and Discord.
Security is a top priority for FILLiquid, with smart contract audits from Salus and CertiK, along with a ‘Bug Bounty Program’ and open-sourced code following the “Code is Law” principle. CEO Arthur Tan emphasizes the platform’s focus on boosting liquidity, security, and empowering users through governance capabilities.
$FIL holders can now deposit tokens into the platform’s pool to earn interest through $FIT, a liquid staking derivative of Filecoin. The platform’s governance token, $FIG, can also be farmed and utilized for governance and fee-sharing purposes. FILLiquid plans to launch a community airdrop, $FIG Staking product, cross-chain compatibility, and partnerships within the Filecoin ecosystem.
FILLiquid, a lending protocol for $FIL, aims to deepen liquidity for Storage Providers and provide asset leasing opportunities for token holders. The algorithmic interest rate model is tied to the pool’s utilization rate. $FIG, the native token, offers governance voting rights, revenue-sharing opportunities, and features deflationary properties through burning.
The FILLiquid team includes experienced members in the crypto space, with a product designer who is a CFA-certified economist with a background in the IMF and World Bank Group. The platform has previously won the X and Filecoin Defy Hackathon, showcasing their innovative DeFi solutions.
