KKR’s Q2 net income soars by 49% from a year earlier on higher fees By Reuters

Private equity firm KKR & Co reported a 49% increase in second-quarter adjusted net income to $972 million, surpassing analyst estimates. The firm saw a record fee-related earnings of $755 million, driven by managing $601 billion in total assets. KKR cashed out on investments, including selling a stake in Abu Dhabi National Oil Co’s oil pipeline network and taking financial software maker OneStream public.

KKR reported total operating earnings of $1 billion for the quarter, a 36% year-over-year increase. The private equity portfolio appreciated by 4%, real estate funds rose 1%, and leveraged credit funds rose 2%. The firm amassed $32 billion in new investor capital, deployed $23 billion in investments, and declared a quarterly dividend of 17.5 cents.
