The global aircraft repair industry is set for growth in the next six years due to a shortage of new planes. Asia Digital Engineering (ADE) CEO Mahesh Kumar stated that new deliveries have declined, forcing airlines to prolong aircraft maintenance. ADE’s revenue doubled in 2023 to 574 million ringgit ($122.91 million), with slots booked until 2025. ADE is expanding services to attract third-party airlines and potentially work with Chinese planemaker COMAC. The company has developed software to predict maintenance needs and reduce repair times by 20%-30%. Aerotrade, an online marketplace for aircraft parts, is also operating.
