Menlo Ventures and Anthropic partner to launch $100M fund focusing on AI-first applications

Menlo Ventures launched a $100 million AI fund called the Anthology Fund in partnership with Anthropic. The fund will invest in AI-first applications and infrastructure solutions leveraging Anthropic’s technology, focusing on five areas of AI. Menlo previously led a $750 million round in Anthropic.

AI-specific funds backed by AI or big tech companies have become common. OpenAI launched the OpenAI Startup Fund in 2022, while Salesforce Ventures announced a Generative AI Fund of $500 million last year. In May, Databricks announced a new Databricks AI Fund as part of Databricks Ventures.
