Nvidia developing faster AI chips for China market to comply with export controls

Nvidia is reportedly working on a version of its new flagship AI chips for the China market to comply with U.S. export controls. The “Blackwell” chip series includes the B200, 30 times faster than its predecessor for tasks like chatbot responses. Nvidia will partner with Inspur on distributing the chip, known as “B20”. Washington has tightened controls on semiconductor exports to China to prevent military advancements. Three chips have been developed for the Chinese market since.
