French drugmaker Sanofi is considering a 1.3-1.5 billion euro investment at a production site in Frankfurt, Germany to produce insulin brand Lantus. Plans were changed from transferring production to France, with an upgrade of the German site in progress. Recent healthcare investments in Germany include Daiichi Sankyo and Eli Lilly’s commitments.
