Tech stocks in pre-market trading show gains, with XLK and XSD up; SMWB and GOOGL rise

Technology stocks were gaining momentum before the market opened, with XLK up 0.3% and XSD up 0.8%. Meanwhile, Similarweb (SMWB) surged over 1% following its acquisition of app analytics firm 42matters to enhance its app intelligence services.

Google, a subsidiary of Alphabet (GOOG, GOOGL), announced a partnership with BlackRock’s (BLK) Climate Infrastructure unit to facilitate the development of new solar capacity in Taiwan, with GOOGL’s stock rising by 0.6% in premarket trading.

Microsoft (MSFT) disclosed that Russian hackers linked to intelligence services accessed emails with agencies and universities in Texas. Despite this revelation, MSFT shares were up by 0.5% before the bell.
