US stocks fell on Friday as major indexes failed to recover from a sell-off led by tech stocks. The S&P 500 and Nasdaq posted their worst week since April, the former falling 0.7% and the latter slipping 0.8%. The Dow Jones was down almost 1%. Stocks were impacted by an IT outage that grounded flights and hit various sectors, eased by a fix from CrowdStrike. Donald Trump’s anti-EV mandate comments caused Tesla stock to drop 4%. Next week, investors will watch earnings from Coca-Cola, UPS, and Tesla. Oil fell 3%, Bitcoin rose to $66,000, and chip stocks remained weak.
