The second half of the year tends to be better for the stock market than the first, according to LPL Financial.”Since World War II, the S&P 500 has gained an average of 5.7% in the second half of the year following a first-half return of between 10% and 20%,” wrote Jill Carey Hall, senior U.S. equity strategist at Bank of America Global Research.
