The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) Coalition of Organized Retail Employees (IAM CORE) has reached a tentative agreement with Apple over work-life balance, pay raises, and job security. The agreement will be voted on by workers at the Towson, Maryland, Apple retail store on Aug. 6. The three-year deal includes a 10% pay raise, limits on contracted employees, and a severance clause.

If approved, the deal will also improve work-life balance, include rules on transparency, and maintain all current benefits for Apple workers. This comes after workers at the Towson store voted in favor of authorizing a strike in May. In June 2022, Maryland Apple workers voted to unionize with the IAM union, marking a significant development for the tech giant’s retail employees in the United States.

Apple has yet to respond to requests for comment on the tentative agreement with IAM CORE.
