VINCI Airports saw an 8.2% increase in passenger traffic in the second quarter of 2024 compared to 2023. With almost 81 million passengers, the network surpassed 2019 levels by 1.8%. The performance was attributed to growth in European airports, especially in Portugal, France, and the UK, with increased traffic to holiday destinations in southern Europe.
Passenger traffic in VINCI Airports experienced growth in key regions such as Portugal (up 14%), UK (down 1.9%), and France (down 13%). Belgrade airport witnessed an increase in services with airlines like Air Serbia (6%) and Lufthansa (9%). London Gatwick airport saw a boost in traffic due to strong demand for Mediterranean flights and long-haul connections to the US and China.
