1) Microsoft Windows faced a global outage affecting 8.5 million devices with a ‘Blue Screen of Death’ message, disrupting businesses, airlines, and emergency services. The issue was caused by a controversial Crowdstrike update that left devices stuck in recovery mode.

2) OpenAI introduces GPT-4o Mini, replacing GPT-3.5 Turbo. The model is free and 60% cheaper, scoring 82% on MMLU. This move aims to compete with tech giants like Google and Meta.

3) Apple launches the first public beta of iOS 18, offering users early access to features like Home Screen Customization and a revamped Control Center. More enhancements are expected in future updates.

4) OnePlus unveils the Nord 4 powered by Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 with a 5,500mAh battery, starting at ₹29,999. Other releases include OnePlus Pad 2 with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and OnePlus Watch 2R.

5) Google confirms the launch of Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro Fold in India on August 13 as part of the ‘Made for Google’ event. The devices will be unveiled alongside other hardware products.
