The highly anticipated iPhone 17 “Slim” may be marketed as the iPhone “Air” to increase sales, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. Scheduled for release next year, this model is expected to combine features of non-Pro iPhones and bridge the gap between standard and Pro versions.
YouTuber Jon Prosser first suggested branding the upcoming iPhone 17 as the “iPhone Air,” an idea Gurman supports. The iPhone 17 “Air” aims to offer a slimmer design positioning it between the iPhone 17 and 17 Pro, akin to the original MacBook Air’s mid-range status.
Gurman believes the iPhone 17 “Air” will pave the way for more advanced models by integrating Pro capabilities into a compact design. The sales pitch could target consumers seeking a stylish phone with standard iPhone specs but not the performance, screen size, or cameras of a Pro model.
