China's stock market drops despite strong inflation data, Shanghai Composite and Shenzhen Component indices fall.

China’s stock market experienced a decline despite the release of stronger-than-expected inflation data. The Shanghai Composite index dropped 0.97% to close at 3,416.60 points. The Shenzhen Component index fell by 1.69% to end at 13,812.58 points. These losses came after an increase in the country’s consumer price index (CPI) by 1.1% in March.
