Citigroup’s head of digital assets, Shobhit Maini, is stepping down after 14 years, to pursue opportunities in the digital asset space. Deepak Mehra will take over as the new lead for digital assets at Citigroup. The bank is known for its involvement in digital money and tokenization projects, including being the first digital custodian participant of the BondbloX Bond Exchange (BBX), a fractional bond exchange launched in 2020.
