Kudos sustainable diapers set to launch in Target stores

From CNBC: 2024-08-04 08:00:01

Kudos Diapers, founded by Amrita Saigal, is set to launch an innovative sustainable disposable diaper lined with 100% cotton and degradable materials in 375 Target stores nationwide. The diaper, developed after years of research, outperforms competitors in fluid absorption, moisture wicking, and dryness for the baby.

Saigal’s goal is to disrupt the diaper industry dominated by big companies like Pampers and Huggies. Kudos’ unique technology and use of natural materials have allowed it to gain traction in the market. Saigal is focused on scalability, profitability, and ensuring her product remains accessible to consumers despite higher production costs.

Kudos received over $6 million in funding since its inception and has seen a sales growth of over 100% in the last year, selling more than 20 million diapers. Saigal’s strategic approach to building a lean team, managing inventory, and pricing the product competitively have been key to the success of the brand, which aims to make eco-friendly alternatives mainstream.
