Microsoft will discontinue Paint 3D app, but users can still use classic Paint or Photos.

Microsoft’s classic Paint app will no longer be available on the Microsoft Store after November 4th, 2024. The Paint 3D app introduced in 2017 offered 2D and 3D painting features, layers, and transparency tools. Initially meant to replace the classic app, Microsoft decided to keep both due to user criticism.

Users can still view and edit 2D images using Paint or Photos, and 3D content can be viewed with 3D Viewer. Microsoft also discontinued other features like Windows Mixed Reality and Cortana in Windows.
