Restaurant Brands International surpassed analysts’ revenue expectations in the second quarter, driven by strong sales at Tim Hortons and its international restaurants. The company reported adjusted earnings per share of 86 cents, slightly below the expected 87 cents, and net sales of $2.08 billion, exceeding the $2.02 billion estimate. Tim Hortons saw a significant same-store sales growth of 4.6%, while Burger King and Firehouse Subs reported declines. The recent acquisition of Popeyes China is expected to impact next quarter’s results.
