Síminn hf. reported revenue and EBITDA growth in Q2 2024, despite losing English Premier League rights.

In Q2 2024, Síminn’s revenue reached ISK 6,871 million, up 9.4% from the same period in 2023. EBITDA increased by 22.4% to ISK 1,726 million. Profit for the quarter was ISK 244 million, with interest-bearing debt at ISK 15.7 billion and cash at ISK 1.6 billion by the end of Q2.

CEO Orri Hauksson noted Síminn’s growth in core operations and new digital signage advertising offerings. Despite losing English Premier League broadcast rights next year, the company aims to strengthen as a leading digital service provider. Incoming CEO María Björk Einarsdóttir will take over from Orri, who led Síminn for almost 11 years.

Síminn will host an investor meeting on August 28 at 8:30 am. Orri Hauksson and CFO Óskar Hauksson will present financial results.
