SunPower files for bankruptcy and plans to sell assets, including Blue Raven Solar business

Solar firm SunPower filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and entered into a $45 million ‘stalking horse’ agreement with Complete Solaria. Complete Solaria will acquire SunPower’s Blue Raven Solar business, New Homes business, and non-installing Dealer network, after SunPower had acquired Blue Raven for $165 million in 2021. SunPower listed assets and liabilities between $1 billion and $10 billion, with plans to continue a sale process and efficiently wind down operations. The company previously announced reducing its workforce by 1,000 and closing SunPower Residential Installation locations.
