Tesla has halted orders for the $61,000 version of its Cybertruck, while making the $100,000 model available for immediate order, aiming to deliver this month. Elon Musk plans to produce 200,000 Cybertrucks annually. Customer demand remains uncertain, as some await lower prices and longer driving ranges than currently offered.

In July, Cybertruck sold nearly 4,800 units, becoming the best-selling U.S. vehicle over $100,000. Cox Automotive reported over 16,000 units sold so far, but predicts sustaining high sales at this price may be challenging. The truck’s unconventional design, inspired by “Blade Runner,” and stainless-steel body have captured attention since deliveries began in November 2023.

Tesla no longer offers reservations for the $61,000 Cybertruck, previously slated with a 250-mile range and 2025 delivery. The $99,990 dual-motor Foundation limited series with a 318-mile range can be delivered this month, while the $119,990 tri-motor Foundation Cyberbeast with a 301-mile range is available from October. Inventory currently consists of two-motor and three-motor trucks.
