A new sports streaming platform, Venu Sports, will cost $42.99 a month and is set to launch in the fall, offering a seven-day free trial. The service will include NFL games and thousands of live sports events, and subscribers will have access to 14 sports networks. Fox and ESPN hold the broadcasting rights. Former Apple and Hulu executive Pete Distad is the CEO of Venu. The platform is part of a joint venture between Disney’s ESPN, Warner Bros. Discovery, and Fox Corp. Venu is aimed at sports fans outside the traditional pay TV bundle and will offer a compelling price point for cord-cutters.
