Global spending on AI-capable processing units (XPUs) is projected to hit $105 billion in 2024. The total AI infrastructure expenditure is expected to reach $210 billion in 2024, a tenfold increase from 2020. Microsoft, Meta, Google, and Amazon are the top investors, with Microsoft leading at $40 billion. By 2027, global AI capex is estimated to reach $450 billion, with XPU spending alone accounting for $225 billion. Cloud services and enterprise AI solutions are key revenue sources in the sector.
