Accenture (NYSE:ACN) saw a 4% surge in pre-market trading after reporting better-than-expected fourth-quarter results. The company posted adjusted earnings per share of $2.79, beating analyst estimates by a penny. Revenue grew 3% to $16.4 billion, surpassing expectations of $16.35 billion.
New bookings for Accenture in the quarter reached $20.1 billion, up 21% from the previous year. The company’s generative AI projects contributed $1 billion to this total. For fiscal 2024, Accenture achieved a record $81.2 billion in new bookings, a 13% increase year-over-year.
Julie Sweet, Accenture’s chair and CEO, praised the company’s resilience and adaptable business model. Looking forward to fiscal 2025, Accenture expects revenue growth of 3% to 6% in local currency. Earnings per share for the year are projected to be between $12.55 and $12.91, a 5% to 8% increase from 2024.
Accenture also announced a 15% increase in its quarterly dividend to $1.48 per share. Additionally, the company approved an extra $4 billion for its share repurchase program, showing confidence in its financial position and future prospects.
