Family offices are optimistic about their investments, with 97% expecting positive returns this year, according to Citi Private Bank’s survey. Nearly half anticipate double-digit gains, particularly from private equity which is favored by 47% of family offices. Interest rates heading down are also boosting family offices’ appetite for stocks and fixed income.

Despite optimism, family offices expressed concerns about interest rates, U.S.-China relations, and market overvaluation. Private investments in AI are a key theme, with Jeff Bezos and Bernard Arnault’s family offices investing in AI startups. AI is the top investment theme for family offices this year, surpassing digital assets and ESG investments.
