Alphabet’s Google accuses Microsoft of anti-competitive practices in cloud computing licensing, filing a complaint with the European Commission. Google claims Microsoft’s Azure platform locks customers in with Windows server and imposes penalties on those trying to switch providers, costing European businesses up to $1.1 billion annually.

Amazon-backed CISPE also previously filed a complaint against Microsoft’s contractual terms in 2022. Alphabet’s stock is currently trading at $163.94, up 0.22 percent on the Nasdaq.
