OpenAI has refuted a claim that its GPT-3 language model is infringing on a patent held by Dr. Stephen Thaler. Thaler alleges that GPT-3 is based on his artificial inventorship tech. OpenAI argues that Thaler’s claims are invalid as they offer “no coherent technical exposition” of how GPT-3 allegedly infringes.
