OpenAI has secured a partial victory in its trademark dispute with another company sharing the same name. The lawsuit began in April 2021 when the AI research lab filed a lawsuit against the fashion-focused blog The Fashion Law for trademark infringement. The court ruled in favor of OpenAI, finding that the blog’s name caused consumer confusion. The Fashion Law will have to change its name to avoid further legal action.
