Polkadot Hackathon in final stage with 25 projects advancing in Singapore and Bangkok

The 2024 Hackathon is narrowing down with 25 projects advancing to the final stage in Singapore and Bangkok. Over 279 developers formed 69 teams, submitting 34 projects for review, selecting based on technical difficulty and completion criteria.

Finalists at the Hackathon include WeTEE, offering decentralized computing for Polkadot ecosystem, and Enhanced Token Fortress (ETF.one), a Web3 asset management platform. Other projects such as iNFT, FlyAIMusic, Conduits, OpenAuth, and Bolarity also made the cut.

Developer activity in the Polkadot ecosystem remains strong despite market challenges, with 29,917 repositories and over 5,500 weekly commits. The upcoming Polkadot Decoded Asia in Singapore will delve into various aspects of Web 3.0, drawing a global audience while focusing on the Asian market.

Polkadot Mobile App, set to launch for select users in September 2024, will introduce features like onboarding without passwords, wallet funding with DOT or stablecoins, and purchases at 1 million stores. Staking functionality will be added soon, as announced by Parity CEO Bjorn Wagner at Polkadot Decoded.
