Compagnie de l’Odet announced first-half 2024 results on September 16, with revenue at 10,591 million euros, +4% at constant scope and exchange rates. Adjusted operating income was 611 million euros, +10%, driven by Communications. Net income was 3,869 million euros, including a 3.7 billion euro net capital gain from the sale of Bolloré Logistics.

Revenue by segment in the first half of 2024 included Bolloré Energy at 1,316 million euros, -6%, and Communications at 9,051 million euros, up +6%. Industry revenue was 178 million euros, +21%. Adjusted operating income saw Bolloré Energy at 18 million euros, -20%, and Communications at 708 million euros, +15%.

Compagnie de l’Odet had a positive net cash position of 5,614 million euros as of June 30, 2024. Shareholders’ equity increased to 36,628 million euros. Transactions included the purchase of Bolloré SE shares, the sale of Bolloré Logistics, and additional UMG share acquisitions. Vivendi carried out share buybacks and acquired key holdings in Viu, Viaplay, and MultiChoice.
