The Securities and Exchange Commission charged Keurig Dr Pepper for misleading claims about the recyclability of its K-Cup pods, leading to a $1.5 million civil penalty. Despite previous lawsuits, Keurig failed to disclose concerns from recyclers. Sales of pods and brewers accounted for a quarter of the company’s revenue in Q2. The company stated commitment to improved recycling solutions.
