South Dakota opts out of Inflation Reduction Act energy rebates

Several states have launched rebate programs to incentivize consumers to make their homes more energy-efficient, offering up to $8,000 for home efficiency upgrades and $14,000 for appliance rebates. Most states have applied or approved federal funds for these rebates, except for South Dakota, who recently declined the program. Florida, however, has reversed its decision and is now preparing to launch the rebate program. Each state is implementing the program differently, so consumers should check their state’s energy department website for eligibility.
